Gas Turbine Training and Consultancy
Gas Turbine Engine Performance Consultant
Gas Turbine Engine Performance Consultant
Thirty-four years' experience at Rolls-Royce in gas turbine performance, covering all stages in the product life cycle from new concept design, engine development, validation testing and in-service support. I was the Corporate Lead Subject Matter Expert for gas turbine engine steady state performance modelling, analysis and diagnostic troubleshooting. I also provided technical consultancy at Rolls-Royce at Group level.

Aerospace Gas Turbine Design Course - 5 days
This provides a complete picture of all the main aspects of gas turbine design at an introductory level. It is holistic in its emphasis on the links between Performance, Aerodynamics and Mechanics. It is suitable for both graduates and experienced engineers (of any core skill) who wish to broaden their knowledge.
“Excellent structured systematic course covered entire engine thermodynamic, performance, operation and control. Really great holistic gas turbine course.” – Engineer with 15 years GE experience on F404 engine.
"The last time I did a similar course was with GE in 1999. However, this course stands out in content and delivery."

Gas Turbine Engine Analysis and Troubleshooting Course - 2 days
This is aimed at Performance, Development, Test and Measurement engineers who will analyse steady state engine data for diagnostic/troubleshooting purposes. The course draws extensively on Chris’s expertise in this area. It uses simple language and techniques to transfer knowledge in this highly specialised field.
“Well organised, very efficient course. From now on I’ll be able to troubleshoot engine issues way better.”
“Really awesome training on engine diagnostics and troubleshooting. It certainly helps to understand real engine problems and the process and engineering techniques to be used to solve them. Amazing course and course material. Many thanks Chris.” Virtual training

Advanced Iterative Engine Analysis and Steady State Model Generation Course - 1 day
This course is aimed at engineers who will set up the steady state analysis for development or production engines using iterative techniques. It is also suitable for engineers with a requirement to produce a steady state engine performance model.
High quality pre-test and post-test steady state engine performance models are essential to the engineering organisation of any aerospace engine company.
“The analysis matching scheme training was very helpful. I consider this to be the most difficult part in steady state performance. Chris made this look easy and raised our confidence levels in taking up this job in future.”
